Financial Dominion I
Deuteronomy 8:18 (AMPC) But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
“GOD BE merciful and gracious to us and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us and among us–Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! – That Your way may be known upon earth, Your saving power (Your deliverances and Your salvation) among all nations.” Psalm 67:1-2 AMPC. Without the knowledge and understanding of the purpose of a thing, abuse is inevitable. So the question is, “what is Financial Dominion and what is its purpose?” As we embark on our financial Dominion journey, it is also important that we know the source of it, how to attract, manage and multiply it. All these involve having a financial plan. Without a plan, it is easy to drift through life, earning and spending money without purpose! What is a financial plan? A financial plan involves perceiving an ideal, a financial goal (FFC Top financial goals) and striving towards it. A financial plan or goal answers the following questions:
- Where are we going?
- Why are we going there?
- What things do we need to enable us to get there?
- How are we going to get there? and
- When will we get there or how long will it take for us to get there?
To gain financial dominion, we need to be able to increase our streams of income, manage these incomes by planning our spending and expenditure (FFC 30-day income and outgoing tracker) and cutting out waste (FFC Fat Finder). God is the source of our income, wealth and indeed financial dominion. And He has multiple channels of bringing us into financial dominion. And most importantly, there is a purpose for our financial dominion. When we recognize that God is the source of our wealth and financial dominion, we will steward it in a way that pleases and honours Him. All that we have actually belongs to God; we must therefore change the way we steward and administrate our finances and resources. We are not owners, God is; we are only stewards and managers of His belongings. In tonight’s study, we will learn about the purpose of financial dominion and how we can steward this dominion.
We discussed how we have applied what we learnt over the previous weeks and from the sermons, the Bible Studies, and our personal studies. And how we have used our spiritual authority and access to the realms of the spirit to claim victory in every situation.
We read and tried to understand scriptures answering what the purpose of financial dominion is.
