Dominating Our Sphere of Influence II
2 Corinthians 2:14 (AMPC) “But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere.”
“ 14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven” Matthew 5:14-16 AMPC. “So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God” 2 Co 5:17 AMPC.
Many people separate their career and work life from their relationship and walk with God. People in our spheres of influence do not know or recognize that we are Christians. After our Sunday service, we go forth into the week on Monday and do not carry God into our spheres of influence. We spend a lot of time in our places of work or learning and so we must understand that our higher purpose as far as our work or spheres of influence is concerned is to point people to Christ. Our Light MUST shine! God must become bigger in all areas of our lives, especially in our workplace, places of study and our spheres of influence. Our excellence, success, triumphs and dominance must necessarily point our world to Christ and ultimately lead to their conversion. Through this study, we hope you will learn about how you can lead, influence, take charge and have dominion or dominate from where you are, irrespective of your position and how you can be intentional and strategic in pointing people to Christ as you dominate your sphere of influence.
The following scriptures give us Biblical insight on how we can lead, influence, take charge and have dominion or dominate from where we are, irrespective of position. As you read through them, take note of the ideas and ways identified here.
2 Co 2:14 (TPT); Psa 119:97-100; Gen 41:33-44; 2 K 5:2-3; Act 10:38; 1Ki 3:5-28; Psa 90:15-17; Rom 13:1-7; Rom 8:28; Dan 2:17-28, 46-49; Exo 31:1-6; Mar 6:2; Act 6:1-10; Col 2:23; 1Sa 16:13-18, 23; Jos 1:6-9.
Can you see how any of these ideas would work in your sphere of influence?
The next set of scriptures also gives us some strategies in pointing people to Christ as we dominate our sphere of influence.
Dan 2:10-28, 46-49; Dan 3:15-30; Col 3:23-24; Psa 127:1; Eph 4:29; 2Co 5:20; Dan 5:10-18; Dan 4:1-9, 34-37; Dan 6:1-10, 18-28; Joh 4:32-38; Mat 28:18-20; Gal 6:7; Jam 4:13-15; Eph 2:10; 2Co 3:18; 2Co5:7; Act 8:5-13; Rom 12:11-17; Act 4:13; Joh 17:21-23.
Which of the strategies can you use today as you venture into your world? Always remember that God through you spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere.
Be blessed.
